FORGING A UNIQUE BRAND FOR AN OUTSTANDING ARTIST
Story: after a few years of touring with Sir Tom Jones, Sophie was ready to embark on her career as a solo artist and initially approached us to help her develop a new website.
Approach: It quickly became clear that Sophie needed to develop her own identity, before creating any marketing materials and this started with simple mood boards.
Challenge: re-establishing Sophie as an artist in her own right, taking a step back from her previous image as Tom Jones’ backing vocalist.
Solution: we’ve worked closely with Sophie to develop her own “look and feel; tapping into the soul and jazz world for inspiration, crafting her logo and brand identity and then designing her one-page website, which acts as a new album teaser and main digital destination for her fan base.
Sophie Hiller is a British singer and songwriter who was born into an incredibly musical family. Surrounded by musicians and brought up listening to the old greats, such as Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder, Sophie found her own passion in music at a very young age. In 2010, she was invited to become a backing singer for Sir Tom Jones. Her sound is an eclectic yet mesmerising blend of soul, pop, Motown and jazz – all with a modern twist. Since working with Onstory, Sophie has been collaborating with other artists such as Nicole Scherzinger, Natasha Bedingfield, Lady Gaga, Arnold, Carly Simon and Ben Taylor.
